What does the Cryopen procedure feel like?

It’s based on liquid nitorgen, so it can feel quite cold. Some people experience mild discomfort or a stinging sensation; but this will subside after the treatment

How long does the treatment take?

Depending on your needs, the freezing process itself can last only a moment. Sometimes, we’ll advise a second pass, but this too will take a matter of moments. Your appointment won’t require more than half an hour including a comprehensive consultation

How many treatments will I need?

Deeper or thicker lesions may take up to 8 sessions. Lighter more superficial challenges like age spots can be gone after just 1-2 sessions.

What can I expect after the treatment?

Cryotherapy does require a little aftercare. It is important not to expose the area to UV radiation following the treatment, so stay out of the sun. The area will look red and may temporarily scab over for a few days. In some cases, a blister can develop. These are all temporary, and we will provide full aftercare instructions during your appointment.
